Are You An Early Career Educator? Hackley School is Looking For Teaching Fellows! (3126 hits)

Are you an HBCU grad looking to start a career in education? The Hackley School is looking for YOU!

Hackley School seeks to recruit, hire, train, and support a small cohort of talented early-career educators to be Teaching Fellows.

The ideal candidate is an aspiring educator with a demonstrated interest in teaching and working with students, while also helping to broaden the experiences, perspectives, and identities present within Hackley’s faculty. A college degree, not necessarily in education, is required. This program would also be appropriate for early career professionals looking to change fields and gain experience in education prior to seeking a full-time role.

Hackley is creating a 12-month program to run from July 1 through June 30 of the subsequent year. Beginning in July, Teaching Fellows will serve and be trained as members of the faculty for Hudson Scholars, Hackley’s multi-year academic support and enrichment program for middle school students from the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns district. Teaching Fellows will be housed on campus for the majority of the summer (Longer-term subsidized school housing may subsequently become available, but is not guaranteed.) Fellows may apply for full-time positions at Hackley in a subsequent year should there be a suitable opening.
