Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech</span></span></p><p></p><p>The Senior Systems Integration Engineer for Service Innovation will support the team lead in implementing the framework and processes to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the incredibly complex Johnson &amp; Johnson OTTAVA Robotic System within the R&amp;D organization. This is a role that lies at the intersection of hardware, software, robotics, and clinical engineering. This individual will have the opportunity to train and observe clinicians, key opinion leaders, and high-profile visitors interacting with the OTTAVA System. They will provide individual contributions and organizational management of the team&#39;s responsibilities. This team will operate the system during clinical labs, troubleshoot and resolve known issues, document novel issues that arise during system use, perform SW installation and smoke testing, and provide complex engineering test support for R&amp;D applications. Applicants should have experience working with complex electromechanical systems but need not have a technical background in robotics. This is a phenomenal opportunity for someone with an interest in medical robotics to gain deep technical and industry knowledge, while providing a critical service to the OTTAVA program. </p><p></p><p><b>Core Job Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Support the team lead in implementing the framework and processes to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the systems.</li><li>Identify, root cause, and resolve novel issues that arise across the R&amp;D systems by working across mechanical, electrical, software, robotic controls, and clinical teams </li><li>Support clinical and human factors teams to test new features in simulation and implement in labs</li><li>Technical expert for setting up, operating, maintaining, and debugging the system in clinical labs.</li><li>Document issues that arise in clinical and R&amp;D labs, and resolve by working across hardware, electrical, and software teams.</li><li>Work with software engineers to understand and modify existing code.</li><li>Support Clinical trials preparation and execution.</li><li>Maintain the configuration and records of all systems used for development and verification &amp; Validation.</li><li>Act as the linking point of collaboration between R&amp;D, manufacturing and Service teams to address the Service requirements in the product creation process.</li><li>Contribute to the vision of the Service business by providing inputs to the Service product roadmap.</li><li>Investigate new designed products on their Serviceability based upon the defined (general) Service requirements. Advises development how to realize an optimal Serviceability and Reliability on both products and components levels. Incorporate the Design for Serviceability concepts in the product design process.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required:</b></p><ul><li>Minimum BS in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Software Engineering, or other equivalent degree) with 5&#43; years of industry experience or MS Engineering or other equivalent degree with 3&#43; years of industry experience.</li><li>Ability to lead, mentor, and delegate to other engineers and technicians.</li><li>Fundamental understanding across software, controls, robotics, mechanical, and electrical engineering. Depth in one or more of the above subject areas, with ability to quickly come up to speed in new technical areas.</li><li>Experience partitioning and decomposing sophisticated engineering problems into solvable problems.</li><li>Understanding of engineering concepts such as system architecture, implementation, testing, and maintenance.</li><li>Proven understanding of programming concepts and ability to modify existing code (C&#43;&#43;, Python, etc.).</li><li>Excellent self-starter with a can-do demeanor. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred:</b></p><ul><li>Hands-on experience with electromechanical or robotic systems.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Travel:</b></p><ul><li>Up to 20% travel in the US.</li></ul><p></p><p>Johnson &amp; Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
